The new headquarters of the European Union Delegation in Brasília embodies core EU values through its design, promoting staff well-being and celebrating cultural connections between Europe and Brazil.

ATRIA played a key role in coordinating infrastructure services and acted as a consultant for various aspects of the project. This included budget planning, activity scheduling, preparation of tender documents, and overall construction management.

The selected building for the EU Delegation's new headquarters had recently completed its core and shell construction. Positioned in a uniquely advantageous location near the lake, it offers exceptional views of the city. The internal layout strategically positions office spaces to capitalize on the scenic views of the lake, ensuring a pleasant working environment for all staff members. The adoption of "new ways of working" is evident in the internal office spaces, characterized by open layouts, minimally glazed private rooms, ergonomic furniture, and internal greenery.

The design’s central aim is to reflect the European Union’s values while ensuring the well-being, comfort, and equality of all staff. The fit-out promotes flexible, open-plan workspaces using light color palettes and ergonomic solutions, aligning with modern global work methodologies.

The interior design, developed by the European External Action Service, features the EU’s institutional colors—blue and gold—alongside visual elements that honor Brazil as the host country. Graphic design throughout the building further supports this dialogue: Copernicus satellite images of Brazil decorate meeting rooms, while the main lobby displays gifts from EU member states, symbolizing the Delegation’s cultural diversity and shared identity.
